The Territorie, Art, and Peace Cultural Foundation is a leading organization in community cinema, popular communication, and audiovisual storytelling in the Caribbean region. Since 2015, it has promoted training, creation, and audiovisual mediation processes with rural, Afro-Colombian, Indigenous, and urban communities in Colombia and Latin America. Its Traveling Film School, “Narrating Positively,” has supported children and young people in the production of more than 20 short documentaries made with cell phones, highlighting local stories of hope and resilience. These productions have been screened at national and international festivals and in community spaces such as libraries, schools, and film forums, reaching more than 4,000 people. The foundation has innovated in community photography, sound narratives, augmented reality, and audiovisual mediation with the “Libraries Make Film” strategy, which transforms users into content producers. In 2024 and 2025, we were the expert trainers for the Film Forum School of the National Network of Public Libraries. Currently, much of our Caribbean content, especially from Cartagena, circulates in the Popular Education Network of Cuba and in the Secretariat of Culture of Mexico City, entities with which we have exhibition alliances.
