Felipe H. Caro
Colombian writer and director, co-founder of Cumbia Films. In 2012, he was a Directing Fellow at Project: Involve, a Film Independent program in Los Angeles. He has received awards at various festivals for his short films Mañana (2010), La Suerte Del Salao (2017), and La Cachera (2019). He was the Casting Director and Associate Producer of El Piedra (2019), a film shortlisted by Colombia for the Oscars and Goya Awards. La Suprema (2023), his debut feature film, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), won the Coral Award for Post-Production at the Havana International Film Festival, Cuba, the Silver Columbus Audience Award at the Huelva Ibero-American Film Festival, Spain, and the Audience Award at the Cartagena International Film Festival (FICCI), among other accolades. La Suprema represented Colombia at the 2025 Goya Awards and Oscars, and won the Macondo Award for Best Cinematography. He is currently in advanced development of his second feature film, The Shadow.
