Profile – Lorena Sofía Puerta Vergara With more than 40 years of experience as a cultural and social manager and producer, I have specialized in the organization and production of events across various fields. My background includes advertising, secretarial work, the preparation of theoretical and financial reports, youth work, audiovisual production, audience development, event decoration, and the production of artistic projects in painting, film, reading, sculpture, writing, and music. For 25 years, I worked alongside prominent figures such as Don Víctor Nieto Núñez, Gabriel García Márquez, Jorge García Usta, Emery Barrios, and the Cuban José Ambrós, playing a key role in the organization of the Cartagena International Film Festival and Festicinekids, within the corporation that bears its name. I am co-founder of several film festivals and film clubs in Colombia, including the Mompox International Film Festival and the Dosquebradas International Film Festival (Risaralda).
