Festivales / Mercados

Founded in 1959 by businessman Víctor Nieto, the Cartagena International Film Festival (FICCI) is the oldest film event in Latin America. Over more than six decades, it has screened more than 5,000 films, establishing itself as a key venue for promoting Ibero-American cinema.

Along with the film programming in its official competitive and non-competitive sections, the Festival organizes the India Catalina Awards and also features a solid lineup of academic discussions, training opportunities, the Cine en los Barrios program, and a growing Industry area with market spaces, networking, talks, and professional activities related to the audiovisual industry.

In addition to the Film Festival, the Cartagena de Indias Film Festival Corporation carries out training, exhibition, and traveling activities that strengthen film culture in Cartagena, Bolívar, and the country.
