Located on the Ciénaga de la Virgen, the Gran Manglar Viaduct is the longest in Colombia, with a length of 4.73 kilometers. It has two lanes in the Cartagena - Barranquilla direction, and functions as a second carriageway of the Vía al Mar. Crossing this large bridge over the body of water gives a spectacular view of the swamp and its vegetation and reduces the connection time between Cartagena and Barranquilla by approximately half an hour.

Built on ancestral territory of fishing tradition, it was inaugurated in 2018 and operates in the Cartagena - Barranquilla direction. The Coastal Marine Ecoblock is responsible for the environmental inspection, care and ecological impact of the mangrove swamp that crosses the viaduct.
