The lake that gives its name to the neighborhood acts as a natural border between Bocagrande and Castillogrande with the Laguito, at the southern end of the peninsula on which the three neighborhoods stand. Half a century ago, the area experienced an urban boom with large hotel buildings and high-rise residential buildings, which give the area its particular skyline.
