The lake that gives its name to the neighborhood acts as a natural border between Bocagrande and Castillogrande with the Laguito, at the southern end of the peninsula on which the three neighborhoods stand. Half a century ago, the area experienced an urban boom with large hotel buildings and high-rise residential buildings, which give the area its particular skyline. In addition to the lake area, El Laguito has calm beaches with gentle tides where you can practice water sports such as windsurfing and kitesurfing or kayaking.

A wide range of hotels and private lodging through apartment rentals.
Both in the Laguito and in the adjoining neighborhood of Bocagrande there is a considerable variety of stores, restaurants and some nightlife. Castilogrande, on the other hand, is a more residential neighborhood, and is considered the most exclusive neighborhood in Cartagena.

The lake can be crossed by the circular path that borders it of 1.8 km of extension. Ideal for physical activity on foot or by bicycle.

El Laguito Neighborhood
