Located in the renowned Pie de la Popa neighborhood, the public library is also a cultural center that stimulates life, leisure and educational opportunities in the area, reaching almost a thousand people a month. It is a modern building that came into operation in 2018, equipped with green areas and a large infrastructure of spaces (ballroom, auditorium, children's area, green areas and large outdoor common areas, reading areas) and technology.
They permanently organize workshops and training processes in theater, music and dance, as well as reading clubs and film forums. It belongs to the district's network of 18 public libraries and, as of 2023, is part of the National Network of Libraries of Colombia.
