Temple of Catholic worship dedicated to St. Peter Claver, a Spanish priest (whose remains are on the main altar) relevant in the history of the city because he dedicated his life to alleviate the suffering of slaves. The church was built between 1580 and 1654.
Baroque style church, with a central courtyard where local architecture and nature intermingle. Event hall, gazebo with panoramic view, chapel and museum with religious art collection, corridors ideal for dinners. It is currently one of the city's favorite wedding venues.
Square with bronze statue representing St. Peter Claver walking with a slave, work of Enrique Grau. The entire square and the alley that connects it with the Plaza de la Aduana, is characterized by its particular sculptures that represent the life and daily life of Cartagena through various trades and professions made of scrap metal by Edgardo Carmona.
Restaurants, jewelry stores and street vendors abound in the plaza.
- Museum hours: Monday to Friday: 9 am to 4:30 pm. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays 10 am to 4 pm.
- Areas available for rental: central patio, event hall, gazebo, chapel and corridors, all with a minimum of 50 people.
